A Thoughtful Welcome for Newborns in China

MIKI HOUSE newborn essentials in a gift box created with United Family Healthcare

A baby's first clothes are part of a family's first memories together. In June 2026, MIKI HOUSE announced a collaboration with United Family Healthcare to welcome newborns and their families at participating hospitals in Beijing and Shanghai.

The initiative is MIKI HOUSE's first hospital collaboration in China. At its center is a specially designed gift box containing practical essentials for the earliest days of parenting.

Everyday care, thoughtfully considered

The selection includes cotton hadagi—Japanese baby underlayers—in short-sleeved and coverall styles, an Imabari gauze bath towel and nursing bibs. The focus is on the items families reach for during dressing, bathing and feeding.

Starting with the first daily routines

The gift box brings together items for the repeated, ordinary moments of caring for a newborn. Its two 100% cotton underlayers are from MIKI HOUSE's PUREVEIL series: one short-sleeved style and one coverall style. A gauze bath towel from Imabari and a nursing bib set complete the selection.

In the Japanese approach to baby dressing, hadagi refers to the underlayer worn close to the body. Introducing that term helps explain the role of the garments in the box, alongside the bathing and feeding essentials. The specially designed presentation marks the arrival of a new family member while keeping the contents grounded in daily use.

A partnership beyond the boutique

United Family Healthcare was founded in 1997 and provides care for families through hospitals and clinics in China. This collaboration focuses on newborn gifts at participating facilities in Beijing and Shanghai, connecting MIKI HOUSE's baby products with the beginning of a child's life.

The initiative also sits alongside the brand's other family support activities in China, including seminars for expectant parents, children's foot-development seminars and online postpartum programs. Together, these efforts show how the brand seeks to accompany parents through different stages of raising a child, beyond choosing clothing in a store.

The gift program is associated with participating United Family Healthcare hospitals in China. It is a local collaboration, with details available from the participating facilities.
